Top Five Horse Breeds

#1: Arabian Horse

 



The Arabian horse originated from Arabian Peninsula. This breed is well known for its arched neck and high carried tail. It dominates the discipline of Endurance Riding.The Arabian can be found in many places like United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Continental Europe, South America, and it's land of origin the Middle East.

#2:  Quarter Horse



The Quarter Horse is well known for its stocky body,which makes it dominate  riding disciplines like Neck Reining, Roping, Barrel Racing, Cutting,Calf Roping, and rodeos. It also excels at short distance sprints.Its name come from its ability to out distance other horse breeds in races with distances up to a quarter mile or less.The Quarter horse can also do some horse racing but is better when running short distances.

#3:  Paint horse 

 


The paint horse has the ancestry of the Quarter Horse and the Thoroughbred. It combines both the conformational characteristics of the western stock horse and the pinto spotting pattern of white and dark colors. It is good at both English and western activities like halter, English Performance, and Western Pleasure.

 

#4:  Miniature Horse

 


 The Miniature horse may be small but can still excel at specialties such as Cart pulling,Therapy, Halter, Trail classes, Showmanship, Driving, and horse shows in general. Miniature horses were found in the Americas and Europe.

 

#5:  Throughbred

 


 The Thoroughbred is very well know for its speed, spirit and agility. It excels mostly in English but some western riding disciplines such as Showjumping, Cross-country, Dressage, Horse Racing, Polo, Fox-Hunting, Show Hunting, Police mount,Western riding, Steeple chasers, Barrel Racing and the Olympics. It was developed in the 17-18 hundreds in England.
