The Indus River

This is a beautiful view of the Indus River. The Indus River is the longest River in Asia. It flows along the entire length of Pakistan, originating from Tibetan Plateau, and then through Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir and western Tibet. At the end it merges into the Arabian Sea near the Karachi port. The total length of the Indus River is 3180 km.
Its estimated annual flow stands around 207 km^3 making it 21st largest river in the world in terms of annual flow. Beginning in a mountain spring and fed with glaciers and rivers in the Himalayas, the river supports ecosystems of temperate forests, plains and arid countryside.
