Skardu.Pakistan. Skardu, is the main town of region Gilgit-Baltistan. Gilgit-Baltistan is the new province added in Pakistan. It is located in the north of Pakistan. It is also called Northern areas. Shigar is a Valley of Skardu where K-2, world's second tallest mountain is located. Skardu is at an altitude of nearly 8,200 ft. The town is surrounded by grey-brown mountain range, called Karakoram.
